Music: Nocturne

We are transported on a soft and dreamy musical voyage by David Walters, Vincent Segal, Ballaké Sissoko, and Roger Raspail. The music is dazzling with grace and beauty.

Unplugged concerts hold the potential of delivering some sweetness to our world of loudness and ferocity through the sorrow of the cello, the pulsating of the percussion, the soaring of the kora, and the bittersweet melodies.

"Nocturne speaks to us at this moment. a delicate blending of humility, melancholy, and hope. a well-kept secret. A holy fire... A profound inner bliss.

Vincent Segal, a cellist, Ballaké Sissoko, a maestro of the Malian kora, Roger Raspail, a drummer, and David Walters, a lyricist and guitarist, all play their own compositions in West Indian Creole to swaying melodies.

The "three Musketeers" got together in the studio at David Walters' suggestion for a loose jazz performance that was recorded in just three days! They expanded it on stage and shared it with their audience since it was such a source of delight.

Since then, the group has performed its "whispering refrains and melodious loops" all over the world, enticing us to drift off into sleep while paying opulent homage to Sam Cook, Manu Dibango, and Fela Kuti. Tutelary shadows for these artists who like to listen to each other to give the best of themselves. These artists use tutelary shadows to help them offer their finest work since they like listening to one another.
