Tucked away in the bucolic heart of the Provençal region, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and the Golfe de Saint-Tropez, the Beaucas family estate conveys the wisdom of age-old, sustainable vine production.
A FAMILY MATTER
In 2001, Patrick and Encarnacion purchased the company and are now its owners. The couple and their two kids, Thibaut and Guillaume, are self-taught and give their all to their profession. For them, cultivating wine is a passion rather than just a job.
MADE TRADITIONALLY WITH A CONSCIENCE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
The Beaucas estate enjoys a unique climate because it is situated on the slopes of a sandy-clay-schist terroir.
Because of the water's close proximity, the sun shines and the sea breeze helps prevent heatstroke in the summer and extreme cold in the winter.
Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, and Mourvèdre are the only grapes cultivated in the vineyards; Rolle and Sémillon are grown for the white wines, and Syrah and Mourvèdre for the rosés and reds. The entire production falls under the category of A.O.P. Côtes de Provence. For them, winmaking is a passion rather than merely a job.
The grapes are meticulously chosen and hand-picked. Under the knowledgeable supervision of an oenologist, the cellar is set up to maximise the best wine-making methods (harvest cooling, pneumatic press, temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, etc.).
