This company began as a "bet" between two friends who met when a well-known Italian stylist and a "little Frenchman" from the Var region in the South of France got together.

The original plan was to make basic, everyday polo shirts and tee shirts that could be worn to work, an aperitif with friends, a more stylish party, or just about any event for their personal wardrobes or the wardrobes of a select group of friends.

Over time, the notion emerged to disseminate these straightforward, carefree patterns to a maximum number of individuals. Each design has the the brand name "le petit français du Sud" (the little Frenchman from the South) ,all decorated with ,a kind, endearing nickname bestowed upon this Var area guy over the years by his Italian sidekick, and the tricolor cockade returned in the shape of an exquisite heart.

That's how the brand "le petit français du sud" was born: straightforward, stylish, yet laid-back designs that provide a fresh and enjoyable way to sport the region's lovely singing accents!
